Mini Cars
Moments in Mini Motion

Overview
This project is a photography series featuring 1:64 scale cars captured in a variety of settings. From indoor studio shots to outdoor scenes and detailed diorama setups, each photo aims to bring these tiny cars to life. The goal is to create images that feel full of character, motion, or mood, despite the small size of the subjects. Through careful composition and creative environments, the project turns simple models into scenes that feel real and expressive.

Framing Miniature Worlds
The process behind these photographs is a way for me to practice and explore composition, framing, and editing. Each scene is set up with care, whether indoors, outdoors, or in a diorama, to create strong visual balance and atmosphere. I often experiment with angles and lighting to find what works best for the mood I want to capture. Some of the images were taken years ago and have been reviewed and revised using new editing techniques and a fresh perspective. This ongoing process helps me refine my skills and bring out the best in each shot.

Indoor Setup Approaches
Indoor setups offer a controlled space to experiment with different looks and lighting for each photo. Some shots are taken with no background at all, using plain surfaces and shadows to keep the focus on the car. Others use printed backgrounds to create a specific scene or add depth without needing a full diorama. This flexible approach allows for quick changes and creative testing while maintaining a clean, polished result. Each setup is chosen based on the mood and style I want to achieve.

Transforming for Impact
Sometimes a photo is brought back to life through a complete change of background to create a more dramatic and dynamic visual effect. This process allows me to take an older or simpler image and give it new energy, often transforming the mood or setting entirely. A carefully chosen background can shift the mood, enhance the composition, and make the scene feel more immersive. Matching the lighting and angles helps the final image look natural while telling a stronger visual story.

Outdoor Photoshoots
Outdoor photoshoots bring natural light, texture, and scale to the miniature scenes. Shooting outside allows the cars to interact with real environments like pavement, dirt, grass, or stone, making the images feel more lifelike. Changing weather, sunlight, and time of day all affect the mood of each shot, adding variety and realism. While outdoor conditions can be unpredictable, they also offer unique opportunities that are hard to replicate indoors. Each photo becomes a blend of planning and spontaneity.
