Overview

This project is a series of studio photoshoots featuring 1:64 scale cars captured in mid-air. The goal is to create dramatic and dynamic scenes that make the tiny cars feel full of motion and energy. Each shot is carefully staged to freeze the moment of a jump, giving the impression of speed, action, and weightlessness. Though the cars are small, the scenes are designed to feel bold and cinematic.

Setting up

The process involved carefully setting up each mini car in a jumping pose using thin supports that could be edited out later. I experimented with different camera angles, lighting setups, and background choices to create a sense of motion and drama. Strong directional lighting helped highlight the shape of the cars and cast realistic shadows. Each shot took many tries, with adjustments to timing, focus, and position until the scene felt just right. It was a mix of trial, patience, and creativity to bring these small cars to life in mid-air.

When Cars Jump!

The final result captures small cars in powerful, mid-air moments that look bold and full of motion. After many rounds of shooting and fine-tuning, I selected the shots that best balanced lighting, angle, and composition. The supports were removed in editing to make the cars appear as if they were truly flying. Each image highlights the drama and energy of a jump, turning simple scale models into action-packed scenes.
